There are many good books on relationships and change that have already been written. Books with a lot of wisdom and sound advice. The "How to?" books that you can find in the self-help section of the book stores. And still it doesn't seem to be enough.
As one reader wrote to me, "I have read a zillion books, I can talk the talk, but I am having trouble walking the walk."
This is true for so many people. Why is this happening?
There is a difference between theory and practice. Between understanding something intellectually and actually living that understanding. You may be 98% there. You've "got it." You know what to do. And it has taken you years of growing to be able to finally understand what you need to change in order to live a happy fulfilling life?and yet - you stumble, you keep reliving the same patterns and wondering what's wrong with you.
There is absolutely nothing that's wrong with you. Being 98% there is a great achievement. However, it is the last 2% that are our greatest challenge. The critical 2% that will tip the scales - or not. The last 2% that many never make.
A picture is worth a thousand words.
The Power of the Possible shows, and only then - tells. First come the stories, and only then - the teachings.
The Power of the Possible is a book of stories that happened to people just like you and me. Ordinary people in extreme circumstances, creating extraordinary changes. The stories are true, and yet you are reading them as if you are reading a book of fiction. A book you probably won't pick up in a self-help section. And you are drawn into them. They come alive, and with them - the characters. Suddenly - it can be you. You are reading about yourself. The same, or similar situations, or if not - the same or similar issues.
Let's face it: we are all dealing with the same "stuff" in the living of our lives. All of us are stumbling on the same road blocks and all of us want the same things.
We want meaningful work, fulfilling success, happy, loving relationships, real, trustworthy friends. And we want all of this in abundance. We want financial independence, freedom from the past, emotional healing, forgiveness, inspiration, creativity.
So instead of telling you that you too can create all these things in your life (something you've heard only too many times) The Power of the Possible with its stories creates an opportunity for true healing and change by inspiring and lifting you into its high resonance of hope and possibility.
"If one crow is white, then not all crows are black." If one can do it, why not many?
Why not you?
Just like there is nothing new under the sun, many of the things you will read about in The Power of the Possible won't be new to you. And yet... sometimes hearing what you already know, presented with a different angle and at exactly the right time, said in such a way that you can finally hear it, can make all the difference in the world.
So universal are the situations in the stories, so compelling is the language in which they are written, you find yourself drawn into the circumstances of the characters, identifying with them, reliving their lives as if they were your own.
And as the people you read about experience their transcendent shifts and with them - miraculous changes in their lives - so do you, changing without doing anything at all.
And therein lies the magic of the book. By the time you have finished reading it- you have been changed at the core level, often having let go of the old destructive patterns, without any knowing that you have done it. You find yourself acting differently, thinking different thoughts, responding to life from a place of deeper peace, compassion and understanding.
The veil to truth has been lifted, life long questions clarified, illuminated. Now - you can act on your new understanding. Things that used to be beyond imagination are suddenly within reach, possible.
You are inspired and filled with Hope, doing what you always wanted to do.
To quote one of the readers, "you don't just realize that you can do it, suddenly - you find yourself actually doing it!"
Welcome!
The Power of the Possible: Introduction
Up until the year 1987 I had been living in alternating states of determined hope and overwhelming despair. My personal life was falling apart. Trying to ignore this fact brought about physical illness and more pain. I was stuck. I hated the only answer that I knew was the right one, and so – I did nothing. Yet hope never left me either. Perhaps because it had always been my natural sate, and I simply didn’t know how not to feel it, regardless of the circumstances...
